Ultimate Black Forest & Vosges Motorbike Tour - 9 Days

Meeting at Folkstone, this is a fully guided tour and includes Le Shuttle Eurotunnel tickets for you and your bike (and pillion if required).

Saturday 17/07/27 to Sunday 25/07/27

We will take you through customs into Europe. After blasting through northern France and Luxembourg, we will base ourselves near Baden Baden, in the north of the Black Forest.

We will have 3 nights based here to ride 'luggage free' where we will ride the infamous B500, where we will spend the rest of our week exploring the routes, roads and beer-hauses this amazing area has to offer. Discover German hospitality (and beer) and bratwurst in the northern part of the Black Forest.

Then we head south to Lake Titisee and the slightly hillier southern end of the Black Forest and a quick blast over the border into the Vosges mountain range. Here we're based at our hotel for 3 nights, again allowing for a few days of luggage free riding, lapping up the Col du Grand Ballon and Route de Cretes, running the peaks of this pretty mountain range.

We will take a visit to the Nurburgring and although we can not take our bikes on the track, we can spend a while seeing who is racing. We might squeeze in a trip to Francorchamps, Belgium's famous F1 track at Spa.

A quick blast back through the Ardennes, with an overnight stop by a brewery. The trip includes Le Shuttle return tickets from Folkestone to Calais. Other crossings are available, if it's easier for you to go from Hull to Rotterdam.
Ride with an English speaking guide.
Quality hotels with breakfast included.
Secure or private parking at all overnight stays.
You'll be riding in France, Luxembourg, Belgium and Germany, with virtually no motorway except where essential.
This is a small group tour and is pillion friendly.

The roads are slick and the tarmac smooth. This is a relatively easy tour and there are options for rest days, as we're based at hotels for several nights in a row.

If you want to make your own tracks to our accommodation, you’re more than welcome, otherwise we will guide you all the way with an English speaking biker leading.
It is 100% tarmac with no planned off roading.
Das ist cool, jah?

Day 1
Folkstone to Luxembourg
– 250 miles.
We will meet up early at the services near to the Folkstone Le Shuttle terminal, for a quick forecourt coffee, before all boarding a train at the same time. If you haven't taken your motorbike onto the tunnel, it can be a little daunting but your guide will be with you every step of the way (except passport control where they don't like you hanging around). 35 minutes later and we will be in the land of baguettes, ready for a run through northern France to Martelange in Belgium. We may pop into Spa and the Belgian F1 circuit, Francorchamps. We will try to miss out any toll routes today, staying on the slower but more scenic A roads instead. Around 7 hours saddle time today.
Day 2
Luxembourg to Black Forest
– 180 miles.
After a good breakfast, we will hit the road through the Eifel National Park in Germany. Happily moving on, we will stop at one of our favourite biker café’s in the Eifel area, Biker Ranch. This wooden chalet is biker mad and hosts motorcycle meets every week. You can sample your first Currywurst here! A simple snack of fat hotdog, covered in a curry sauce. There is a small motorbike accessories shop next door, which is always dangerous to step into (as it tends to easily lighten the wallet). Now we're heading over border into Germany and down to the Black Forest, where we will be staying for 3 nights.

Day 3
Black Forest Circular Routes
– 130 miles.
Leaving our luggage at the hotel, the Schwarzwaldhochstraße (Black Forest High Road) begins in Baden-Baden and rises quickly to the main ridge of the northern Black Forest, reaching the top at the Bühlerhöhe. We will have a full day of twisty exploration routes, paced and relaxed all in one day.
Day 4
Black Forest Circular Routes
– 130 miles.
Another luggage free day, exploring everything the B500 and other roads have to offer. We may head east to the hidden single track forest routes or west along the fast but quiet wooded routes.

Day 5
Black Forest to Vosges
– 180 miles.
Time to head south! We're following the B500 down to Lake Titisee and then west towards Colmar, crossing back into France and into the Vosges mountain range. The roads are slightly more empty here and allows for a more spirited ride.
Day 6
Vosges Mountains for 3 nights
- 150 miles.
Luggage off as we're at this hotel for 3 nights. We're in the Vosges mountains and will have time to explore both the north and south range. There are some truly spectacular roads here. Sticky tarmac and amazing views. We will be in a busy small town, with plenty of cafes and restaurants, and a cute river that runs through the middle.

Day 7
Vosges circular route
– 130 miles.
Luggage free day again! This time Route de Cretes and Col de la Ballon. These peak roads are truly spectacular. Twisty, technical and eye wateringly beautiful.
Day 8
Vosges to Luxembourg
– 180 miles.
Vosges mountains and Luxembourg! Don’t say we don’t treat you but after ticking off so many of northern Europe’s famous roads, we're in the northern Vosges national park. The roads are typically French and the quality varies but the scenery is fantastic! The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is a bikers paradise. The roads are racetrack quality with fast twists and turns around every corner. We will only have a chance to sample a few of the best riding roads in Europe here, passing multiple castles on hills. We will end up in the west of the country, for our final evening in Europe.

Day 9
Luxembourg to Folkstone
– 250 miles.
Homeward bound! We head east through Belgium heading back to the Channel Tunnel, but not without getting in a couple more twisties in the Luxembourg side. We will probably stop for an early lunch in Dinant, famous for being the birthplace of Adolphe Sax, the inventor of the saxophone! Now it’s a relatively straight motorway run back to Coquelles, for your last chance of a bit of duty free, after which we will take an early evening Le Shuttle back to Folkstone. During the 35 minute crossing, we will reminisce about our favourite bits of the week, swap contacts and start planning your next motorbike adventure!
